LittleMissMatched Launches Project Sock Design Competition
January 8, 2009, New York, New York - LittleMissMatched, the ground-breaking company that has revolutionized the world one sock at a time, announces the launch of the first ever "Project Sock" competition where one fan will become the next LittleMissMatched Sockitect. The contest presents a unique opportunity for fans of all ages to become part of the design process and show the world their artistic talents. Contestants who are bursting with creative energy can enter the contest by designing a 3-pack of socks that, in true LittleMissMatched spirit, don't match. "As a company based on creativity, we want to give our fans the chance to inject their individual spirit and creative energy into the brand. Throughout the years, we have received a constant flow of product drawings from our fans and we are excited to give them each an opportunity to submit their ideas for an upcoming collection," says Jonah Staw, CEO and co-founder of LittleMissMatched. In addition to bragging rights, there is much at stake for the winner of "Project Sock." The top 24 entries will be displayed online for contestants, fans and critics alike to vote on the winning design. Not only will the winner receive a $500 cash prize but the favorite design will go into production and become part of an upcoming LittleMissMatched collection that will be sold to the public. Submissions for Project Sock will be accepted beginning today until 6 pm EST on February 11, 2009 and voting will take place from February 16 – 26, 2009.
