LittleMissMatched Presents FashionablyME by The Arts Effect
NYC Tweens Create Original Monologues About What They Think Is 'Fashionable' In
Honor of Fashion's Night Out
WHAT: LittleMissMatched, a creative girls fashion brand built around individual style, has partnered with The Arts Effect, NYC, an award-winning theater arts program dedicated to empowering tween and teen girls, for an unprecedented, girl power event - FashionablyME.
Aware of the undeniable societal pressures felt by young girls world-wide to fit-in, be thin, and act perfectly fashionable, sexy, and popular, LittleMissMatched and The Arts Effect are on a mission to encourage the girls out there to be strong, be creative, to act out, and let their personal style shine!
As part of Fashion's Night Out 2011, the FashionablyME performance will provide tween girls of NYC with a platform in Grand Central Station to express their perspectives on what it means to be fashionable, while rocking their favorite bold, colorful, totally fun back-to-school looks! Guests can check out LittleMissMatched's new Fall line as real tween and teen girls take the runway by storm--strutting their stuff and performing original monologues that explore what it means to be fashionable in GIRL WORLD!
After the show, girls in the audience are welcome to join the fun! Guests are encouraged to take the runway by storm and share what’s fashionably fabulous about them. Bold, brave, super creative participants will receive a gift bag of back-to-school goodies!
WHERE: Grand Central Terminal, Vanderbilt Hall, NYC
WHEN: Thursday, September 9, 2010, 11:00am
"The Arts Effect has created something that not only entertains, but more importantly, inspires an interest in the humanities!" HILLARY R. CLINTON, Secretary of State
